It’s possible that something is coming, but that doesn’t mean your income has to stop.

It’s the start of the 2020s and the public is worried. Be it the U.S. reaching their debt limit or weakness in China’s real estate market. Whatever it is you’ve heard, the bottom line is that now is the time for some financial upkeeping. So, here’s my side hustles that will keep me paid if/when push comes to shove.

“Never miss out on an opportunity like a good recession.” — Jack Welch

If you’ve been reading my prior posts, you know that I am a deep practitioner of directionless betting, otherwise known as arbitrage betting. If you haven’t, allow me to explain what it is. Arbitrage betting is when you take betting wagers on both outcomes of an event for a guaranteed profit. For example, if the Rams and the Bears are playing on Monday Night, I may go to one bookmaker and bet the Rams will win for -120 odds, then go to another bookmaker and bet that the Bears will win for +121 odds. This spread of 1 odd is what allows me to either secure a profit or lose nothing. This is still an opportunity that exists for a daily 2–4% return. I wrote more about getting started here.

But how is it recession-proof?
